  I also have to disagree with Judy. I am currently employed with Seneca Center as administrative staff and that thorough background check was conducted for me as well, and I have minimal interaction with the clients (that's what Seneca calls them, not patients. Took me a while to get used to). During basic training, you find out that it doesn't matter if you have a prestigious degree or accolades, because if there is a kid fresh out of college that volunteered all of his free time as a counselor for kids, they will pick him over the pompous applicant with "domestic and international awards". Furthermore, Seneca makes it very clear why it goes through such arduous application process. They have had only one incident where a staff member was sexually involved with a client. When that came out, it almost crippled the entire agency and what they do. That is why they sniff out anything and everything about you before they even consider giving you a second interview. If you are looking for a job at Seneca, make sure you show them you are passionate about what Seneca does. And yes, the benefits are pretty good!
